Biography

Federico Bandini was born in 1977 in Romagna. He got his background in goldworking and got a diploma with honours in sculpter.
In the early nineties he discovered the world of writing (graffiti) and created TomoZ.
His artistic production alternates drawing, sculpture, urban art and other things.
The transition from one media to another is spontaneous and natural, various techniques are the interchangeable tools aimed exclusively at the realization of the idea.
The latest sculptures take shape and content from writing project experiences, breaking its structural rigidity and experimenting different communicative possibilities of the letters, around which the stories of alive graphs are developed, the protagonists that perform actions and have reactions.
Fundamental is the choice of materials such as wood, ground, paper, bones and affective objects assembled with modern binders such as chemical and plexiglass resins, bitumen and plastic.
Federico TomoZ Bandini has numerous current national and international exhibitions and various publications.

Federico Bandini nasce nel 1977 in Romagna, si diploma in oreficeria e si laurea in scultura col massimo dei voti.
Nei primi anni novanta si avvicina al mondo del writing (graffiti) e crea TomoZ.
La sua produzione artistica alterna disegno, scultura, arte urbana e altre cose.
Il passaggio da un media ad un altro avviene in maniera spontanea e naturale, le varie tecniche sono strumenti intercambiabili finalizzati esclusivamente alla realizzazione dell’idea.
Le ultime opere scultoree attingono forme e contenuti dalle esperienze progettuali del writing rompendone la rigidità strutturale e sperimentando diverse possibilità comunicative delle lettere, attorno alle quali si sviluppano storie di grafi vivi, protagonisti, che svolgono azioni e hanno reazioni.
Fondamentale è la scelta di materiali come legno, terra, carta, ossa e oggetti affettivi assemblati con leganti moderni quali resine chimiche e plexiglass, bitumi e plastiche.
Federico TomoZ Bandini ha all’attivo numerose mostre nazionali e internazionali e varie pubblicazioni.
